At Essence Pilates, our Pilates teaching is rooted in the traditions of Joseph Pilates but with an added emphasis on the individuality of each client. No one will be given a generic Pilates ‘routine’. Each person’s strengths and goals will be taken into consideration so that the instructor can truly aid all clients to perform each exercise properly and to reach individual goals. Our personalized attention allows one to become in tune with their body, to progress more quickly, and to maximize time exercising.

Pilates equipment classes are performed on a variety of Pilates apparatus including: Reformers, Towers, Cadillac, Ladder Barrel, and Chairs. Students will enjoy the endless variety of body sculpting exercises that can be performed on this specialized equipment. Our certified instructors ensure that each student enjoys a fresh, invigorating workout every time. Because the classes are small, the instructors are able to customize and modify the movements to suit each person’s fitness and capability level. If you are new to Pilates Equipment we strongly suggest that you take a few privates to learn the basic principles of Pilates in order to get the most out of your practice.
YUR Back Classes
Fitness without fear
The YUR Back exercise program, combines therapeutic exercise, Pilates, and muscle balancing techniques to create a safe and effective work out for those recovering from low back pain.
Stretchology is what "everybody" needs when it comes to stretching those over used muscles. This 25 minute class is led by a trained instructor to teach you stretching techniques for home and travel. Your body will thank you for all your hard work when you add this weekly to your workout regimen. Class is limited to 6 people to insure proper techniques for your individual body. Private sessions are also available.
Bodhi brings the precision and movement principles of Pilates to suspension training with the Bodhi Suspension System™. Leaning into the ropes takes the body out of alignment with gravity causing the core stability muscles to fire and developing integrated, whole body strength and flexibility. Bodhi’s four points of suspension maximize strength training and enhance proprioception while providing endless opportunities for creativity.
